The domestic company is responsible for the logistics and transport of the Swedish group’s material in priority markets, such as Spain, France and Germany
KLOG – a logistics and transport company whose capital is one hundred percent domestic – is IKEA’s strategic partner in the Iberian Peninsula. Working with the Swedish group since 2012, KLOG manages the transport of the material that is imported and exported from and to different European countries, such as Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and, more particularly, the Spanish, French and German markets.
KLOG provides IKEA with an intermodal service that contemplates short sea, pre-carriage and land transport. The company also operates in the rail segment, which enables direct rail connections between Portugal and Catalonia. KLOG is the only domestic transport company that ensures this operation, which guarantees a transit time of 48 hours. With two weekly connections, this national company operates, from Portugal, from the Alfarelos terminal, which is located in the centre of the country. In Spain, the Valladolid, Grannolers and Constanti terminals are used as connections.
Founded in 2012, KLOG works with customers from various sectors of activity, among them big name brands, such as Mota-Engil, Amorim and Tesco. The company operates in different segments: land, sea, air, multimodal (short sea and rail), and contractual logistics, offering customised solutions that meet its customers’ needs.
